Haruko's Mother is a minor character in Mieruko-chan.
Appearance[]
Haruko's Mother is a short, frail, elderly woman with medium-length white hair and gray eyes. She wears a kimono (lilac in the anime) and a curved hair comb with a flower print.
Personality[]
Not much is known about Haruko's Mother. She initially appears senile, wandering off on her own, albeit kind and polite. Once she retrieves her haircomb from the safe, she demonstrates an assertive side, suggesting to Haruko dinner ideas.
She was described as Haruko to be dependable.
Biography[]
Not much is known about her past life. At some point, she lost her husband.
Miko Yotsuya first encounters her on an overpass staircase where she mistakes Haruko's Mother for a spirit. Haruko's Mother grabs her hand, fascinated by Miko's phone and asking if it was the internet. Not long after, the ghost of Haruko's Father manifests and whispers to Miko the code to the safe. Miko types the code into her phone, which the old woman reads.
Miko carries Haruko's Mother to her house. Upon arriving, Haruko's Mother makes a beeline for the safe, unlocking it and fixing her hair with the comb inside. She tells Haruko they're having pork bone miso for dinner as Haruko looks on in amazement.
